Twitter your books

If you’ve ever wanted to share with your friends the book you are currently reading, now you can do so instantly with the help of Amazon’s e-reader. They just released an update that will allow users to access Twitter and Facebook. Again, I still want to make sure I can highlight passage for later reference before I buy one of these things.

Bill Gates is a Tweeter

I almost want to just leave the title with no text. Seriously, what do you say to this? Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, arguably the richest man in the solar system, philanthropist extraordinaire, is on Twitter.

Personally, I’ve never understood the value of personal twitters, corporate twitter accounts are great for promotions. Personal twitter accounts just seem like an opportunity to engage in more vain behavior.

Do you twitter?- If so it shall remain free!

Admittedly I do not Twitter but millions of people have really started to use the service. Well, if you are one of those twittering fools then you’ll be happy to know that the Twitter founders are not becoming greedy…yet! I’ve had a lot of people tell me that blog management and accounts such as twitter have been passed down to the IT world so you’ll be happy (or unhappy) to hear that corporate twitter accounts will remain free and thus will remain a viable marketing solution for a while!

Twittering Terrorist

A recent US military report has laid out details of how terrorist could use twitter to coordinate activities across the globe, including attacks!  There is a great writeup on the New York Times about the report and it completely makes sense and quite frankly, it’s good to see the US military so up on the latest tech trends.  I can easily see how Twitter is the perfect medium to transmit messages to members and I can easily see how it could be used for propaganda purposes as well.
