Robot Babies in Japan

There’s a Japanese school that has developed an extremely like-like robotic doll with the hopes that it will encourage Japanese children to consider starting a family when they’re of age. Apparently, Japan has the lowest birth rate of any developed country. Too much time playing video games I guess. I wonder if that’s what the developers of the old Teddy Ruxpin dolls were shooting for. You remember Teddy right? The teddy bear with a cassette player in his back that would play a tape and make the lips and eyes move? That was one freaky toy.
