We all know the economy has really hit the IT industry hard. Large scale cutbacks in upgrading equipment have really put a pinch on the market. However, industry leaders have been noted saying that they expect to see a slight recovery in the industry over the next year. This is good news. I’ve seen several friends get laid off due to the economy. It will be good to see them finally get back to work!
Will Facebook be a billion dollar industry? According to some, it has the potential to be a billion dollar industry within the next few years. Right now they are looking to reach 500 million by the end of the year. With successes like Yahoo, Gmail and Ebay, it’s no wonder the online market place is still booming. Facebook will be just another cog to exceed the billion dollar mark. I just wish I could come up with something so successful!
As of the 1st, Firefox has seen over 3.5 million downloads! Folks, that a huge number and I have to say that I’m perfectly happy with how 3.5 works. I’ve seen no immediate issues with how it functions and how it interacts with websites. It’s as stable as previous versions and is my go to browser. Go out and make it 4 million downloads!
It’s been reported that Steve Jobs is back on a part time basis with Apple! This is awesome news and I wish you the best of luck and a full recovery. I’m happy to see you return to the helm of Apple as we all know I think Apple is the best option on the market for a home computer and I’d like to see it stay that way! The only way to remain on top is to keep Steve Jobs right where he is, at the head of Apple.
Here it is folks! The T-Mobile MyTocuh. It’s the newest HTC full touch screen with the Android platform. It’s T-Mobile’s legitimate answer to the iPhone and the newer Palm Pre device. From what I’ve read online it’s basically the G1 with a touch interface and a software suite from T-Mobile available only in the Android T-Mobile market place. I personally like the form factor and from launch I’m hearing that it will come with a ton of accessories and a ton of color options. This one should be big folks!
