Of you work in the IT world you know that Blackberry devices are one of the biggest drivers for your business. If you happen to be a Bes Admin then you know exactly how daunting it can be to manage IT policies with downloadable applications. As a user I know how cool and stable they are but they lack a lot of the abilities of the G1 and the iPhone. However, I came across this article n the most essential Blackberry Storm downloads. It’s cool to see that Blackberry is finally coming to terms with the new age of mobile technology but it’s going to be an added nightmare for those who have to manage those IT policies.

Working in the IT field you can develop friendships with many different kids of people. Some of those people feel like they need to help you” because they have a sense that they are cooler than you are. One of my work friends asked me to come over and help him install some of his Yamaha Rhino parts that he’s always talking about. Every day he tells me about his weekend trips and all the work he’s been doing on his Yamaha. What he doesn’t know is I grew up on farmland and have been riding and repairing quads for years. I haven’t commited to helping him yet but I think I might just to see the look on his face when his geeky IT guy gets greesy and proves he can hang in the shop.

41,000 miles!

That’s as close as we came to being hit by a meteor on March 2nd. In the realm of space 41,000 miles is nothing! What scares me is that the meteor wasn’t detected until hours before it passed by us. So a meteor 30 meters in diameter won’t turn us into a planet stuck in nuclear winter for the next million years it’s the bigger ones that we’ll miss that just might. Maybe Nasa needs to move on from Unix and seek out better ways of tracking these things. After All, we need to give Bruce Willis enough time to get up there and nuke that thing don’t we?

ab63_hacked_flash_driveI’m always looking for new and cool accessories for my laptop and the hacked and Frayed flash drive USB cable is one of the coolest I’ve seen in a long time. It’s a 2 GB flash drive that looks like a USB cable that’s been ripped in two. Either people will think you are insane or they will think you are seriously cool. Either way it’s a great way to get people’s attention. It works with virtually any OS and it’s 2.0 compatible so you should have no issues with getting it to work for you.

It going for less than 30 bucks so it’s about $15.00 a gig of storage. That’s not too bad compared to standard flash drive costs and with the added coolness a few extra dollars is worth it.

b732_quis_custodiet_ipsos_custodesName an IT professional that isn’t into Comics and I’ll show you an IT professional that’s in the wrong business! With Watchment coming ut soon it’s time to jump on the bandwagon and get your watchmen gear. This movie will be bigger than Spiderman IMO and rightfully so. I’m not sure how closely the movie will follow the comics but I for one will see it as soon as it comes out!

The shirt? “Who Watches the Watchmen?” An interesting concept in its own right don’t you think?
